I get this question question all the time: “What is Contemporary Glamour photoshoot”? In a nutshell, it’s the best experience you can ever have in a photo studio. We plod through life, we work, we raise families, we balance it all as best as we can. But we rarely take time to do something wonderful for ourselves without thinking it’s a guilty pleasure that is out of reach. I’m here to tell you it’s well within reach and well worth it.

What I love about these portraits are the old Hollywood glamour feel and how each image has a painterly look. They evoke the magazine covers featuring Hollywood stars and starlets.
I am a firm believer that everyone has something special and unique about them. They may not even see it themselves but I work to draw it out in my portrait photography sessions. I strive to tell your story through my images, to capture your inner and outer beauty.
I’ve had so many clients come into my Boise photography studio feeling insecure, nervous, reticent. Many think they’re not photogenic. The Experience
A Contemporary Glamour photoshoot involves three steps:
#1. The Consultation
This is where we get to meet each other and create your dream photoshoot. Consultations can be done over Zoom or in-person. We sit and enjoy a cup of coffee or other beverage while I ask questions like “How would you like to be photographed?”, “Who do you want to share this experience with?” and “What it means to you to do this photoshoot and why now?”. We go into every small detail from how you like your hair and makeup done to what wardrobe you want to wear, your favorite music to listen to. I provide you details on how to prepare for your photoshoot. And we’ll have a no-obligation discussion what types of prints and products are available to purchase; you won’t have to decide right then and there, as you should see the images we produce first before making that kind of decision.
#2. The Photoshoot
This is YOUR day. You’ll get to spend the whole morning (or afternoon) with me in a stress-free environment. So leave your worries at the door! You can do the session by yourself or share it with someone special: your mom, sister, best friend, or spouse. Then, I guide you through the poses. We’ll take regular breaks to recharge your batteries, freshen up and enjoy some refreshments. It feel more like a conversation with a close friend. We chat about life, adventures, dreams… we laugh and we cry and in the meantime I take the best photos you have ever seen of yourself. This is my intention and a promise to you.
#3. The Reveal Session
After the session, I go through the images and select the best ones (usually between 25 and 30 photos). I then retouch them and get them ready to show you. This will take about 2 weeks after the photoshoot. This is the most exciting part where you get to see your beautiful portraits for the first time. You are free to select the images you love and want to purchase. Once you’ve chosen which images you would like the purchase and the type of products, your order will be placed and the products are usually delivered within a month’s time. We work with the very best companies from Europe, creating museum-quality prints and mattes on archival-grade paper that will last generations.
